Agnes is a partner and the joint practice group leader of our Litigation practice. Agnes has considerable Litigation experience and specialises in both indirect and direct tax as well as SFO investigations and commercial disputes. Agnes has advised and assisted clients in a diverse range of UK and international disputes, including those in the Financial Services Sector, the Retail sector, the Insurance Sector and the Telecoms Sector.

Mark is a partner and jointly heads up the Tax Litigation group with Agnes Quashie. He is one of the UK's leading specialists in contentious tax (a Band 1 Leading individual in Chambers Directory). He spent a period working for HM Revenue & Customs’ (HMRC) Solicitor's Office where he gained a first hand understanding of how HMRC handles disputes. Mark has particular experience in group litigation orders (in the context of EU law challenges), tax planning challenges, judicial review of HMRC employment taxes and transfer pricing. He is a member of PwC's Tax Dispute Resolution Network which brings together specialists in tax disputes from across the whole of the PwC network.

Nick is a partner and head of Indirect Tax Litigation. He has a wealth of contentious and non-contentious experience in VAT and other indirect taxes. Nick's team handles many of the leading indirect tax and duties cases before the Tax Tribunals, UK and EU courts. Nick also specialises in the resolution and litigation of tax driven commercial disputes, including ADR, and legal advisory work stemming from tax structures and claims.

David is a partner in our Tax Litigation team. He's is experienced in all aspects of indirect tax litigation including appearing as advocate for appellants before the Tax Tribunal. He’s also represented clients in the highest courts including the Court of Justice of the European Union.

David has first-hand experience of criminal prosecution cases, gained during the decade he spent working at HM Customs and Excise (HMCE). He was also part of HMCE VAT and Excise and Customs’ Duty Tribunal Team where he began his career representing HMCE.
