We conducted an audit of the intellectual property rights owned by a well-known restaurant group. Our study focused on the division between group assets and intellectual property owned by key employees. This included use of image rights in relation to television and other personal appearances, use of recipes in books and rights to autobiographies.
Following the review, we expect to assist the client and its tax advisers to devise a new structure for the ownership of intellectual property rights identified and catalogued by us and to regularise arrangements between key employees and the group.
