My team are involved in litigating many of the key VAT issues affecting taxpayers taking matters before the Tax Tribunals, Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union. In addition to claims against HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), I have extensive experience of acting on a range of commercial disputes notably including customer/supplier disputes over mistaken payments of VAT and landfill tax.

I act for clients who have tax disputes before the Tax Tribunals and Higher Courts, but a large part of my practice is working with clients and HMRC to settle tax disputes before they reach Court. I’m an accredited mediator and have been involved in a number of very high-value negotiations settling some billion pound plus disputes.
